I will be travelling to San Antonio, Texas next weekend for a business convention and I was wondering if anyone out there knows if there's any musical instrument stores in the San Antonio district. I have a few hours to kill, and I can't think of a better way to do it.

If you get really bored around evening, there's weekly jams at a biker bar called the Make My Day Lounge some San Antonians I know regularly attend. The way they tell it, low-rent hilarity and horror often abound. Try to find a tall albino-looking fella named Jack. His website is here:

There's an Alembic dealer, Guitar Resurrection, just 90 minutes away in Austin. It's got at least a half dozen Alembics in stock (also a website). And a dedicated bass shop, Bass Emporium (also a website) with dozens of basses and amplifiers.

Thanks for the link to Bass Emporium. I just picked up another F1X. They were very helpful.
