I just purchased a Bass Rockman circa 1985 and really am impressed with the quality of the build and its sound. Anyone ever own/use one for more than just practice? Recording? |

The engineer who tracked the guitar parts for The Wall told me that's what they used (the guitar version), although they also had mics on Gilmour's amps in the cartage hall (they didn't use those mic tracks). We ended up going the same route, Marshalls in the cartage hall and a DI to the Rockman, and liked the Rockman sound better. This was at Producer's Workshop in L.A., btw, not some backwater home studio... John |

I've got one of these...obtained it in 1990. It sounds pretty good and it's been very durable. It's what I use when I have to emerge from my music room and watch SpongeBob with the kids while sitting on the couch... |

Only one? I have several, parts are hard to come by and Dunlop does not do a comprehensive repair. There are better private restoration firms for those who need to repair their units. Plus, I strongly recommend one use better headphones than the stock ones they still sell to datewhen not using a line out feed into a board or an amp. |

I have one I haven't touched in years. I recall using it while recording demos to get some weird vocal effects... |

Still have mine. It survived a lawn sprinkler incident, and has been dropped several times. Still working. I plug the iPod into the Aux input and play along to tracks. I have learned many band repertoires that way... It's a good tool. |

I use it when I have to for practice, though I'd rather use my practice amp(Peavey BAM210). So many wires, and I still am not used to the compression it has! |
