Wow. It's so cool with everyone in the shop armed with cameras that we can collect all these amazing images of the building process. Of course, most of the pictures happen in the assembly area. Wet glue: Neck taking form on the big band saw: Peghead "ears" in glue up: Drilling out the inlays for the Laser LEDs: And test... they work! Top and back laminates with plates cut out and reserved: Soon to be plates: But first, need to resaw into veneers: Then glue + LOTS of clamps: Peghead shaped: Neck getting rough shaped: Neck to body in process: Hey look... it's a bass! And a little bit more shaping: How about that classic Point: Just remember, once the bass hits spray, there will be very few images until it's done |

I lighter news, we got this beauty out the door and on its way to its new home today: Really is so beautiful, you simply cannot tell by the picture. Plays wonderfully too. I had to stop playing it today so that Mary could get it boxed up in time for UPS. |
