Hi Mica, Very Very nice !! I know how busy you have been between moving your house and the flood of new instrument orders etc. , I really appreciate the FTC pics of my new bass in progress. Just love the Coco Bolo pattern, when I spoke/emailed Val with my Coco choices he said Chip was going to pick out the wood. GREAT Job !! Ditto on the Oh boy Oh boy !! <big> thanks !! B.

Got some more nice ones when Tony was busy carving away: Couldn't decide which looked best, so I included all three. |

Thanks Kevin, I can't wait till it arrives all my other basses will be jealous !! I've always wanted a Alembic Triple Omega bass ever since I saw JPJ playing one many years ago...it will probably be my main bass and I might thin out the herd a bit more and only hang on to the cream of the crop, can't play em all.............. peace, B. |

Well, don't get rid of all of them....you don't want a bass this expensive sitting around unattended at Jammers during set breaks, LOL! |

I'll put the club on it and a chain with a pit bull on the end of it !!...........LOL No matter where I play, I always keep a real CLOSE eye on my gear whether its an Alembic, a tiny Guild Ashbory bass or anything in between. ;o) LOL B. |

Judging by some of the Gin Joints in Joisey (Jammers included), you may need 9MM's of protection to go along with the club, chain and Petey The Pit, LOL! When your equipment is worth more than most, if not all, of the cars in the parking lot of the dive you're playing at, you know you're in trouble, LOL! Cheers, Joisey Kev |

Bruce, the coco bolo on your bass is just incredible and, of course, I'm a big fan of the Triple O body. Kevin is right, you won't want to leave this baby laying around one of those Joisey joints. |

Bruce, The point of your Heart Omega seems a bit longer than usual, almost a shortened stinger. Did you special order it that way? Mike |

Hi Jeff, thanks.......Coco Bolo was my first choice, it looks like the old Ibanez fretless musician bass I once had, but that wasn't CB it looked like it tho, my next choice would have been Buckeye Burl, maybe after I pay this off I'll put myself in debt again for a Triple O fretless in BB. Well bars & clubs are the same everywhere, some good and some bad, I NEVER leave any of my instruments unattended no matter what as they are all very special to me. Hi Mike, the Heart Omega is a standard one, I think it looks different cause of the large body and that 6 string neck, its smaller on a 4 string. I was talking to Val, he told me he can fit his wrist in each curve of the Heart !!.........LOL |

and the heart seems shallower: less a heart than just the two atria, the upper chambers of the heart. so did you request this radical heart surgery? seriously bruce, it's a spectacular instrument. you picked some amazing cocobolo. congratulations! marc |

Awesome, Bruce! May I suggest some THG custom knobs to set off that bad boy? Roger is not cheap, but his work is good, and the knobs really set off real wood tops. Just my $0.02. Cheers, Kevin |

Hi Marc, thanks for the kind words, actually Chip picked out the Coco Bolo for me, I wish I could have gone out to Alembicland as some people have the chance to do....maybe some day. Actually I looked through all the featured customs and the Alembic store, picked out 4 choices of what I liked in CB ( there were more) and emailed Val the links, Chip did the rest ( THANKs Chip !!) I know every piece of wood will look different, so the end result was a total surprise, it was easier for me to pick from the look of a finished instrument than just a slab of wood. The Heart Omega is just standard, Tony's skilled hands are responsable for the beautiful carving. I picked out all the options myself from the quote maker and let the Alembic Elves do their magic............ :o) Bruce |

Good grief, is that a thing of beauty or is that a thing of beauty?????? *Sigh*..... I too love the look of the pickup switch in that position. Unfortunately the couple of times I played Alembics with it there, it seemed to get in the way, which is why I didn't order it. Looking at yours I kind of wish I had..... |
