The side and fingerboard LEDs are there; if you look carefully you'll see the 2 fingerboard LEDs flanking the 24th fret oval. The side ones are not visible in those shots because of the angle. Also, the squarish cavity in the back is exclusively for the led batteries, rest assured it wouldn't be there if LEDs had not been installed. The hardware is still being made, your bass just got out of spray. You can see the chrome tuners in the shot of the headstock. Now you can relax & have a good weekend. I noticed on another thread these can also be chrome plated, though I believe I specified silver on my spec sheet. just curious.
