Brian, the Blue Orca is a tribute to my wonderful wife who loves Orca's & encouraged me to get this bass. My grand daughter is Zoey Nichole. I think it might have been tough to get my son to convince his wife to name their first born after a whale! LOL! Thanks for the compliments!

Thanks Wolf! She is most definitely precious! They only live 45 minutes away but they might as well be on another planet because I want to see her & hold her every day but can't!

Hey Mica, hope you're feeling better now. Does the Blorca have knobs yet? Could this be the week I have been waiting for when I get to see a completed picture of my bass? ;-)

Congratulations Rusty on becoming a grandfather and also soon to become the father of a superb bass.

I hope you have enjoyed your long Orca pregnancy and that the birth is not painful.... :-)

Thanks Jazzyvee! I waited 53 years to become a grandfather, so I guess the year wait for my Europa wasn't too bad! It was exciting watching the build unfold & all the pieces come together. I can't wait to see the final photo with all the electronics & a full shot to see the tuners & peghead with the rest of the bass. The only painful part of the delivery will be the long drive to Austin to pick it up! That will be the longest 3 hours of my life! When my SCSD was delivered to my house I had to wait 3 hours for my wife to get home from work before I could open the box, so that may have been harder because I had the bass in my house but could only stare at the box while waiting on my wife to get home.

Ease the wait; hang with the grandkid!! Congratulations - grandkids are the best! My 1st is 2 & I just found out he's getting a sibling (no Alembic accompanying, though, alas).

Hopefully she will be a music love & my bass won't scare her Jazzyvee! Her dad (my son) is a band director & French Horn payer, so she will grow up in a musical house!

George, I too would love to see new pictures of my Europa baby, but I have no control over that. I'm sure Mica will post some when she has time to take them. Here's one of my favorites of Zoey, smiling as she naps on her mother!

Awesome picture Mica! Thanks so much for posting it! I never realized how much your Dad looks like Santa! He will definitely be Santa to me when he finishes working his magic on my bass! Can't wait for the couch pictures!!!

To directly quote Stevie Wonder "Isn't she lovely"

That's more a statement than a question

An absolutely gorgeous photo of the baby in your family (your grand daughter that is). Her facial expression is one of TOTAL contentment and peace.
