Roger sent me a photo of two of my knobs. They're not finished yet so they should look real awesome with a shine on them.

?! Now, how are ya gonna close that laptop? Microsoft is always talking about improving the look and feel of Windows - that'll do it!

That's a killer bass there, Olie. Definitely got yourself some fine coco bolo!

Please make sure there's 2 set screws on those knobs - otherwise it's nearly impossible to mount in a level fashion.

Olie -

This is absolutely awesome! We'll have to host a jam session when you get it - otherwise everyone will be coming to your house to see it and hear it!

Hi Mica, I have a couple of questions that I would prefer to address the via the phone.
When would be a good time to call you or I believe you have my cell number (214 area code) if you prefer to call me.

Thanks,
Olie

Finished up all the inlay artwork. James will pick up on this project after the last few Christmas miracle deliveries are through. Here's the overall plan:

The black-and-white printout is already impressive, imagine what the actual artwork will look like!

Finally some spiritual weight to counterbalance that offending yellow book. ;-)

Olie -

This is truly spectacular. I can't wait for you to get it :-)

One question: Assuming the fretboard is ebony, it looks like the Omega is slated to be black mother of pearl? How well will that show up?

Regardless, it is truly a "master" piece!

John,

Black mother of pearl is more of a grey color, it'll show up fine.

This black pearl is not only the grey color, it's got fantastic color flash:

The cross is also well underway:

You won't have to wait much longer, some of the work on the Dove has started:

That's just the first cut on the main wing.

And the cross is now bound in sterling silver:

Olie-

Looks like your bass is spending some quality time at the Santa Rosa chapter of the Ron Paul fan club*. Shouldn't be long now before she's in your hands.

Bradley

* James' bench at the shop has Ron Paul stickers and pamphlets on it.

Hey Olie, it that a rosewood fingerboard? I hope it's not the chocolate option. Very tasty, but they are really affected by warm weather! lol.

It's supposed to be ebony! I think it looks odd from some dust from the router. (I HOPE).

It's Ebony, nice and black. Didn't do any color correction, this photo looks a little yellow on my monitor.
