I am lost for words... I lost my voice... It's a shining beacon on a hill, leading me to the light of creation. The light is truth. I can see the light, and yet I am without eyes. Thank you, very much Mica for this picture. Hal- |

Thank you Mario, It's exciting to see this happen. It will be a highlight of my life, (that's for sure) and this means everybody of Alembic will forever hold a special place in my heart, including our loyal club members. |

My phone has been ringing off the hook since the Toma_Hawk pictures had been posted... I gotten calls and emails from Central America, South Africa and of course my home sweet home town SF Bay Area, Central Valley, and up in Chino Hills in Cali! (Message edited by toma_hawk01 on August 14, 2009) |

What an original design. While each Alembic is truly special, yours will always be innovative and unique Vann-Di |

Vann-Di, I am not sure if you seen "Enter The Dragon" with Bruce Lee... If you had seen this movie... Theres a scene (while he's in an action fighting sequence) Bruce fights excellently his way up with (1) stick, then (if almost by accident) the one stick, breaks into (2) sticks, and he fights twice effectively; but just when you thought you seen it all, somebody loses their Nuncucks, and it falls in Bruce's hands... It's just another purpose of change. Nothing better or worse. The Toma_Hawk it just about an honest design that fits my playing attributes, techniques, and style. It's still part of the Alembic Family! |

Hi Oliver "The Spyderman", "My Spider senses were tingling for this bass..." This bass absolutely, positively, definitively, objectively, whole heartily, unquestionably, indubitably, undeniably, and unconditionally had to be, must be an Alembic Series Bass (Period). No other bass could be a Toma_Hawk, unless it's an Alembic. I am sure you understand Oliver... (Message edited by toma_hawk01 on August 14, 2009) |

Hi Bear, To be honest about the whole thing, you are right! Man, I been doing everything extra around the house to keep myself from thinking about this bass: Cleaning my garage, cleaning the interior of my mini van, attending Tea Parties with my (4) year old Daughter, and even building a deck, out in the backyard. But then again, it started after putting the first image on the "Dreaming for now" thread. It was "that" moment, on "that" second, I felt even more nervous because this design was in sketches and also made with Styrofoam models, and I spent years shaping and re-shaping the concept until I was ready to reveal it to "The Club". So, when I got my "call back" from Alembic, it was like finding the golden ticket in a Willy Wonka's candy bar. To see this bass design honored with the "Alembic Logo" will be a dream of dream. Very special people like you, are looking at this bass with much anticipation, and this also sends additional butterflies to my stomach as well. |

Here's my latest sketch with actual pictures of the Vermilion top... Simulating the shine is a very difficult thing, so I'll have to leave the rest up to my imagination... I LOVE IT! (Message edited by toma_hawk01 on August 15, 2009) |

The hardest part is going to be waiting for calibration to be complete. I'm also betting that this is going to be one of the longest FTC threads ever! ;) |

I suggest you save your betting money, because David's 12-string Bass (6x2) FTC thread is the longest. But, I understand what you mean. The Dream threads under "Hendixclarke" was very long, mainly because the edits, were the driving force. However, FTC thread, is beyond the dreams, its reality. Every detail about the Toma_Hawk, is known and documented. Therefore technically, my role is is complete. Thus, I think this thread will be relatively short. I can't lie, I will drool, after seeing real pictures of the Toma_Hawk bass, for at that point, the physical appearance is complete. However, the devil is in the details, and true beauty is beyond the appearance... I have much comfort, knowing Ron is at the helm, adding his finishing touches, which includes calibrating... Yes, It will be hard waiting, but Ron's job is critical. |

I like very much the combination 2 purple heart, 1 ebony and those thin maple stripes in between makes it very classy. |
