Zipped through to carving so fast, these are the first pics I've captured: Still have lots of carving to do, but you get the general idea. |

Adam, No I didn't. I had asked many months ago to not have an FCT but I suspect it was forgotten as this thread popped up after an e-mail status inquiry. No big deal either way. The important thing is I now have pictures to look at. :-) Keith |

It got a little more attention in carving today. Shaped the horns some: and started the peghead bevel:

It is looking great. You sure no how to distract someone who should be working at his desk instead of ogling pictures of guitars. ;-) Keith |

Not pictures of the bass, but of the inlays cut out: These are barn swallows in flight. They aren't arranged as position markers, but rather to evoke the feeling one gets when these little aerialists are swarming around at dusk like fighter pilots. Here's the general plan: James even managed to get the shapes of the flight feathers cut. I just love these birds! |

Mica, Thanks for the update. I can hardly wait to see and play it. My original inspiration for this was the chimney swifts that fly around my house in the summer and the swallows that surrounded the intersections on cool mornings when I lived in Colorado. I think is going capture that quite well. Keith |
