Here's the top pick for a Coco Bolo top big enough for an Exploiter body shape:

It's got some areas where the blackish parts spread out a bit. The piece you indicated as a favorite is extrememly unusual - and of course it's too small for the body shape you've chosen.

After you spoke with Valentino this morning, he found this piece waiting for resawing:

This is still very rough with bandsaw marks, but you can probably get an idea if it's the right direction.

Kris drew a "cartoon" as he calls it on the board:

It looks a little smeary but don't worry, this was the second drawing, the first one didn't catch that nice dark stripe in the lower horn. We use Hello Kitty silver pens to mark on dark woods, and what you're seeing is the acetone where the first line was.
