Mica, I've got to check back here more often. My schedule has been hectic lately, five bands and my day gig.

Hi Wally,

yes that seems something and really original. We in Belgium have "The Monnaie Bass Quartet". It's a quartet of 4 Double Bass players, highly trained and original from the Monnaie orchestra (national opera). It's more usual than what you do but they also have great original arrangements going from folk over Jazz to classical tunes.
Simply amazing!
I hope to hear you guys plying once.

Paul, I've seen other bass quartets that are made up of symphonic musicians using four string basses. What's nice about our band is the different voices created by using the different basses. Kurt plays string bass, Bill plays a frettless Fender Jazz and of course I play my six-string Alembic.

After re-reading the above the first sentence means four players with string basses not basses with four strings.

Hi Wally,

I understand. In fact: you consider the three types of bass as 3 different instruments (what they are in my feel).
By the way: you don't have any recording of something you play that you can send me in a MP3 format? My business e-mail is on the club profile board.

Paul, No recordings yet. This time of the year we're all into our other projects. We'll start early next year getting ready for the festival season. Maybe then we'll work on a recording.
