Looks like a very nice cross section of offspring from the Mothership along with a couple of aliens! I don't see a 4 string SCSD, so I wish I could have contributed mine to this amazing mix......maybe next year!

Just created a gallery of pics on facebook.

If you're not one of my facebook friends, here's a public link to the pics:

https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.2968506372070.2118237.1244010328&type=1&l=528a10268d

If you see your instrument and want to add info, please feel free. Ditto if you are in one of the photos and I didn't mention your name (I apologize in advance).

I had a total blast. Wonderful players, instruments, music, hospitality and conversation. Thanks to the Wickershams and our gracious hosts in Canyon.

Hope to see you all again, next year!

That's what I'm talking about, a great time! So nice to see the 'Family' getting together again for another gathering! :-)

Great people, players, instruments, music, location, host's and hospitality! Doesn't get much better than that! :-)

Not to mention how nice it was to have met new people and just visiting with everyone there. Just too cool! :-)

Thanks to everyone involved for making this come together and happen! :-)

I had a blast and I'm already looking forward to next year! :-)

See you there!

Kimberly :-)

I am a San Francisco native currently serving in the Military. I will be home on leave for 3 weeks from my deployment during the Christmas/ New years holiday. I have a Custom bass being built right now that should be done by the time I get home. If any of you long time Alembic players would like to get together, I would really appreciate some pointers.

I'd love to hear that fretless Series that Ken's playing on. Bet it's smooth a silk.

The newer Alembic's are flashier, but there's something cool about the old Alembic basses.

Hieronymous, I will be back in town in the SF area on 20 Dec - 7 Jan I wanted to know if you or anybody else on this thread would be up to put together a gathering.

The days 28 or 29 of Dec look good for me. Nevertheless, my days are flexible

Anybody interested?

Once we get confirmations, we'll decide on the logistics that will be most convenient for participants.

Darn, May 11 doesn't look good for me - there's a 95% chance I will be performing a wedding that afternoon/evening. But, if that's the only date, then I'll just have to attend in the morning! If I make it in the morning, that will be a first!

May 12 works great for me! The wedding was confirmed for May 11, but I could still make it in the morning. I've never been to one of these things for the whole day, but it would be nice to be there closer to the end rather than miss the end - especially as I'm usually one of the last to leave! ;)
