By mid June that part of "rough road" will be nicely dried out as well and less likely to get stuck in or rip out parts from the bottom of a vehicle. | ||

I've never found the road up to the ranch to be muddy or soft at any time of year. We've traditionally held this event in the spring, as I recall, and I don't remember the road ever being muddy. By June it could get quite warm, though. Bill, tgo | ||

I was just concerned about wetness combined with the unevenness such as the erosion and holes of the road. My car does not really have any high ground clearance and came close to scraping as I remember in one part. You guys can plan when ever it works for you . This was just my 2 cents ... ... ... Bill, Thanks , my old stock Eldorado is a bit low although I got up there twice before. My old truck might be inappropriate as well. I might take you up on your generous offer this time depending on the variables. I think this will be my 3rd "Alembic Gathering " in attendance. | ||

I'm OK with the April dates. I think if it gets too much later we will have the problem of it being really hot. The one year we had it at the end of June was pretty bad. | ||

Geez, I'd love to make it, but that weekend is a little nuts. It starts out with the MPRE (Bill know about this one) and then I don my recording engineer hat and am doing a remote multitrack of a very diverse music festival. You West Coasters have all the fun. I might have a gig out there at the Great American Music Hall in May (although there's some confusion as to 2013 or 2014), so be prepared to party! | ||

I think the current plan is May 11. It's also going to be in a different location, the ranch isn't available this year, but Will has offered another building in Oakland that while not as "secret" it's quite a bit more accessible. | ||

Thanks Wolf - I thought maybe I could make it on the earlier side, but had to schedule something else in the morning, so the 11th is a no-go. This will be the first Gathering that I won't be able to attend, but I have already come to terms with it - if the date is set then I'm ok with not going. May is a rough month for me and June isn't much better. | ||

May 11 is still the plan. I will be sorry to miss Harry (though I think we might be able to stay later here if that might work out for him). We can also start to think about a Gathering at the Mothership a little later this summer. It would be different from the other ones we've done (primarily since there is no stage area) but it still might be fun. I'll be setting up the details by the end of the month in an email, so if you don't hear from me by April 30 and you want to go to the Gathering, email me and I'll set you up. | ||
