First time gig poster. Playing a little teeny place out in rural Maple Park IL tommorrow 5/21/05. Gotta start off somewhere heh. We will slowly be moving East towards suburban Chicago throughout the year. This band plays mostly original compositions, with a few covers thrown in for familiarity. I am the guitar player, winging my Skylark through the sonic madness. Thanks a bunch everyone. (Message edited by davehouck on May 20, 2005) |

By the way, can anyone guess what the background (heavily modified) picture is? |

I have a sister in-law that lives in Maple Park. It's really changed since I lived in the Fox Valley. |

I can make out the six strings of a guitar and maybe some frets. Best of luck with the new band Roger. =) Tom (a former Illinois boy) |

Following Tom'a idea, there's also an upper and lower horn. |

Hey all. The show was super! Whenever we play this place it fills up, always with people we didn't invite to the show, and always different people. Very weird. Of course the club owners is pleased whenever he sees lots of people on the floor. Heh...we played so well a couple of the female patrons gave lap dances to the men...while we were playing (and no lap dances for us, we have a job to do remember?). First time that's ever happened in my 12 years of band experience. You were close on the flyer...it's a cut of my Skylark fretboard only, pasted vertically about 8 times across the page. Warp the sideline, spin the corners, add some coloring and wala! |
