Well - if anyone is in the NC mountain area - come check my band out at Bearly Edible on 5/21 - been playing there every two weeks - nice dose of originals and Dead material. www.phunclesam.com

Hi James, I live in Candler too! I'm playing out of town tonight, so I won't be able to make it; but I would love to come see your band sometime and meet a fellow club member, and see your Electrum!

We're playing "Bonfires for Peace" at Pritchard Park tomorrow (6/18) in Asheville - our set should start between 8 and 9pm. Come on by if you can Dave (although I don't believe I'm playing the Electrum tomorrow).

Too bad it's tomorrow. Was just up in Asheville last weekend for my daughter's freshman orientation at UNCA. The way it looks now I'll probably be up your way another 4-5 times this year so maybe we can have a get together in Asheville.

I'll be out of town tomorrow, but will try to get back in time to get down there.

Well I made it up to see James' band last night. Really nice music, the kind of stuff I like! They did a couple of Dead tunes, including a nice version of China Cat, which was my favorite tune of the show. But most of the set was originals, which were in the same vein and were quite nice as well. They had a good crowd present, and everyone seemed to enjoy the music!

I stopped by to see James' band again last night while I was in town. Once again they were outside at Pritchard Park in Asheville; and again they had a large and appreciative audience. They started out with Uncle Charley on which James had a very nice solo. Enjoyable music on an enjoyable evening in the park in Asheville!
