Hey all,

I'll be playing at BB Kings Blues Club in NYC on Sunday August 28th, with Erotomania, a Dream Theater tribute and Queen of the Ryche, a Queensryche tribute. There will also be a Rush tribute band appearing ( MoMo's Dance Party)

In QOTR I'm filling the bass spot while Mike LePond, bassist for Symphony X is on the Gigantour opening for Dream Theater, Megadeth and Fear Factory....a 6 week US summer tour.

I probably won't be playing the show with my Alembic, cause the DT material I have to play requires a six string bass and due to technical mishaps I don't think my new Series II custom will be ready in time for the show. ( real bummer !!!)

So I'll be using my Tobias Basic 6( pre gibson), Fodera Monarch Elite fretless 6 and Chapman Stick........ although for the QOTR material I could get by with Series I /II 5 string.........we'll see

Have a great gig! Must be a blast playing those tunes. They are 2 of my favorite bands. John recorded Images and Words with a 4 string Spector tuned down if memory serves.

Hey Danno,

thanks ! yeah its alot of fun and a challenge to play some of that material........I'm really glad to be out there still playing some cool tunes with a great bunch of bandmates, whether its covers or originals.

I actually don't know that much about the gear JM used on some of the DT stuff, besides his new and old Yamaha basses, the Tung bass and a Tobias bass.

even tho I use a 6er I have to tune the low B string up to a C to play "As I Am" from Train of Thought, especially the beginning with that low open C and the 6 harmonics, can't do that on a four.;o).

The BB King Show was excellent, the crowd was very receptive and the entire Staff there really treats you great !! I'm sure we'll be back there in the near future.

I'll try to post some pics once my drummer and singer give up the videos they have of the show.

QOTR played at Double D's in Morristown on 9/10, I used the Series I 5 str for the show, it sounded killer !!

Video, CD and DAT of the show from there also.........

Visions AKA Erotomania will be performing 9/30 at Minerals Resort, Kites Restaraunt in Vernon, NJ

and Queen of the Ryche will be appearing @ The Cup Entertainment Complex in Linden, NJ on 10/8/05

best wishes all,
