CRYPTICAL has been asked to participate in a series of "On the Bus Tour” shows at 19 Broadway in Fairfax. For the first show in this series we will be re-visiting the setlist from the Grateful Dead’s 3/18/77 performance at Winterland. For this special show we have brought in a few friends to help out. Dave Herbert, lead guitarist with Melvin Seal’s JGB will be on board, along with Greg Anton (Zero) on drums, and Sunshine Becker (Furthur) will be helping out with harmony vocals. Hoping you can make it down to welcome them to the CRYPTICAL family. Looking forward to a fun night of music, dancing and community. CRYPTICAL and Friends Friday, March 18 19 Broadway Fairfax, CA 9 PM show Tickets $15 in advance, $17 at the door 21 + over http://bit.ly/DeadNightWithCRYPTICAL Peace Stephen

I am sorry to have missed it as I was in Austin @SXSW Fest at the time . I like the " Wander back to Winterland " theme in your poster art. That brings back memorries of when I worked at " Winterland" for promoter Bill Graham. Wolf |

Gig was a lot of fun and went really well. It was our first time playing with Dave, Sunshine and Greg Anton. Usually Stu Allen plays with us but TXR has a lock on his services in Marin County. The woman who promoted this gig did a great job decorating the club, bringing in some vendors to set up a mini-shakedown street, and running a raffle of Dead-related items to benefit the Rex Foundation. Also must give a huge thanks to ex-Ultra Sound founder Howard Danchik who we hire to do sound whenever he is available. As always Howard went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure the house PA functioned at it's peak and that we had good monitors. Howard is also a super nice person to hang with and always brings a good vibe to our shows. The next CRYPTICAL gig is at Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley on 5/19, two days before the CA Alembic gathering. Dave and Sunshine will be joining us again for a rendition of the 5/19/74 Portland show. I will post more details when we get closer to the date. |

Oh man, I'm not flying in until the 20th. Maybe I can get my flight changed. Howard's a great guy. He gave me a tour of Ultra Sound back in the late 80s. |
