Got told at rehearsal last night.
We are playing the Rototom Festival next week Tuesday 11th July.
Apparently its the largest in Europe.
http://www.rototomsunsplash.com/index.php?news
we are not shown in the listing when I checked but I expect that the site will be updated before next week.

It's going to be a busy two weeks, we are in Poland this weekend, then Slovakia and Germany also next week.
I'm enjoying every minute of it.

They still make Rototoms? Never seen a pair in action after the 1980s.

Ha! The drumset at church has Rototoms in it. I love 'em.

They'll be worth like $22,000 on Ebay in 20 years. But only the Pre-CBS ones.

$22,000 in 20 years? It wouldn't surprise me. Of course shipping and handling on them will be about $5000! LOL

Bill,

Only if they have the authentic grease pen markings and original powder coat.

I have a case of happy meal toys I'm going to unload on the 'bay Real Soon Now. Maybe they'll pay for an upright?

Jazzyvee,

How's your luck been with the backlines lately? I did a *big* local show on July 4th with a bunch of other bands (Confederate Railroad was the headliner - I think they had one hit 10 or 20 years ago) and the backline had a decent bass amp, but discovered AFTER our set that they hadn't plugged it into the system. THAT explained the spotty bass mix out front all day! When I pointed out that it wasn't plumbed into the system (and I was nice about it), the stage tech just said "whatever..." That's my rant for the day, and hope you're having better luck..

lol that sounds well shabby.
I've not had problems with the quality of the backline service.

The stage guys are always really good and we have our own sound engineer who always comes on the road with us so he makes sure everything is right front of house.

It's rare we have any problems, usually it's something minor like... no guitar stands provided.

Jazzyvee:

Looks like a heckuva festival. Nice pics, but the selection could be better: more of you, your Alembic, and the girl without the bra! LOL

hahaha.
Festival was fantastic. I'm hoping some appear on the summerjam.de festival site from our Sunday concert as there were loads of photographers in the pit and also about 5 tv camera's filming the concert.

Thanks.
