Hey, steady work is a blessing. Beat all hell out of just sitting and waiting for a call.

To be honest, I absolutely love doing these gigs. The venues are, for the most part, very good. Most of our concerts this year have been at music festivals on mainland Europe.

We get treated very well by the organisers, promoters and the staff at the events and the audiences really get off on what we are doing. The whole experience has been fantastic. I've travelled to countries I never expected to visit or like. It's been like a dream come true.

At the moment, the gigs aren't that regular but it's enough to keep us on our toes and keep us stage tight and we are being invited to play at more prestigious festivals across Europe.

Apart from the odd one or two gigs, I've been playing my orion guitar exclusively on the road as well. It really does sound fantastic and crisp on stage and it's got that acoustic guitar sound going on as well that is really something. I'm still not convinced that the Orion likes being used with an overdrive or distortion device.

It just doesn't get dirty or go creamy in the way my Ultra Strat does although It sounds ok overdriving a tube amp with it than any pedal I have tried.

My only worry is about it going astray between airline checkin and baggage claim at the other end. Fortunately all has been fine in that respect over the last 2 years.

Have a good weekend Jazzy. I'm playing in Edinburgh so won't be able to get down to Galloway but it's good to know more and more Alembics are plying out in the UK.

Festival was really good, was situated in a remote spot on the side of a large hill with a long beaten track sort of road to it.

The standard of musicians performing there were incredible. There was a fantastic band there who played music that fused Irish jigs and salsa.
Yep it works and it was fantastic.

Didn't see any wild haggis roaming the countryside :-)

You don't usually find wild haggis that far south Jazzy. They're normally found in the highlands, usually lurking near pubs after closing time. The ones you'd see in Dumfries and Galloway are farmed;-)
