Hi all, our rock band in Israel is back onstage with a slightly different lineup. We played at Mike's Place in Jerusalem last Saturday night as a warmup for a bigger project we hope to carry out later this year.

It was a lot of fun. Very friendly and enthusiastic crowd, lots of dancing, foot tapping, clapping, and singing along.

Danny Sher: lead vocals and guitar
Victor Ofstein: keys and vocals
David Fenster: drums
Yours truly: Alembic Rogue

Setlist:
london calling (the clash)
jailhouse rock/johnny b. goode (elvis/chuck berry)
sunshine of your love (cream)
come together (beatles)
in my place (coldplay)
another brick in the wall (pink floyd)
break on through (doors)
black night (deep purple)
message in a bottle (police)
sunday bloody sunday (u2)
black dog (led zep)
wonderwall (oasis)
get up stand up (bob marley)
romeo and juliet (dire straits)
fire (jimi hendrix)
closer to the heart (rush)
won't get fooled again (who)

Great, Black Night is one of my favorite Purple songs!
Beautiful Rogue too.

Thanks, the Rogue is a '97 with bocate top.

Black Night is one of a couple of songs we extend with a big jam at the end, with everybody going over the top at once. Q on, pan to bridge pickup, and play 20,000 notes a minute with enough Es to keep it somewhat in key!

Thanks. It's part of a project which will survey rock music from Elvis to the present, with multimedia accompaniment. The multimedia will include images of the bands and historical events that influenced and/or were reflected in the music. Plenty of work to do before the show's ready in full....

Looking good Zvi. You'll need to play louder though. I think your drummer has fallen asleep ;-)

Thanks Graeme! Actually, a couple of those songs have pretty monotonous drum grooves - they'd put me to sleep for sure! But he makes up for it in other places...
