We played at Mike's Place in Jerusalem last Saturday night as a warmup for a bigger project we hope to carry out later this year. It was a lot of fun. Very friendly and enthusiastic crowd, lots of dancing, foot tapping, clapping, and singing along. Black Night is one of a couple of songs we extend with a big jam at the end, with everybody going over the top at once. It's part of a project which will survey rock music from Elvis to the present, with multimedia accompaniment. The multimedia will include images of the bands and historical events that influenced and/or were reflected in the music. Actually, a couple of those songs have pretty monotonous drum grooves - they'd put me to sleep for sure! But he makes up for it in other places...
