Anyone in LA want to do some gigs? I'll pay for the right guy. Love to have an Alembician.

I haven't heard from a lot of bassists! It's strange. Lots of other musicians, though. Thank God for the Internet.

I may just have a keyboardist play bass...or play bass myself when necessary. It's strange, 'cause I'm structuring this around piccolo bass -- not quite a bass, and not quite a guitar.

I coulda sworn there were some LA Alembicians around here....

what are the dates and times. I'm in the Bay Area. I'll be in Anaheim the week of June 17. And depending on the gigs, might be willing to travel. I'm diggin the tunes.

You know, I don't have anything set up. I'm assuming the first gigs will be crappy. To me, it's gotta be that way at first. For instance, I've talked to a number of people on the "I'll rehearse once" before the gig tip. I've done stuff like that myself, and didn't really like the results -- well, I liked getting paid, of course.

So perhaps this will make it more difficult to secure talent, but I want to have the group fully assembled before booking anything, and then rehearse regularly in the time before gigs begin, since the lag time is at least usually a month.

I've made good progress w/ drummers, at least.

But email me, and let's talk. I mean hell, anything's negotiable.
