This was recorded on July 5th, 2006 in Vladivostok, Russia at the the Russian Pacific Fleet Theater by the United States Navy Seventh Fleet Band 'Far East Edition'.

I don't claim any writing or arranging credits on this performance, I was just the bass player in the band. Frank Newton (the guy is a genius) arranged this tune.

This performance was something I can only describe as a religious experience. We actually almost caused a riot. I challenge anyone to find a recording of a standard big band (4 trumpets, 4 trombones, 5 saxes, and rhythm section) that is as tight and intense as this is in a live setting.

This is the musical experience that I'm most proud of so far in my life, I can only hope that I run into another gig like this someday. I hope you dig listening to it as much as liked playing in that band.

Very good. I bet it is fun playing all over the place with a bunch of really good musicians.

Hi Richard,
unfortunately I couldn't hear the complete tune because the site kicked me off (I am not a Firefox user). As sfar as I could however it IS really something.
As a former bassplayer for a low profile amateur bigband I can only keep on gasping.
REALLY cool!!
The rhythm section fits as tight as my former girlfriend jeans and THAT my friend is A COMPLIMENT!!!!
Paul the bad one
