Hey All -

I'm not sure exactly where to post this, so I thought I'd start here. I play weekly in our church praise band at Suncreek Methodist in Allen, TX. Occasionally I've got conflicts that prevent me from playing. We rehearse Thursdays for about three hours, and play Sunday mornings - typically 8:30 - 10:30, but occasionally other services in the morning.

Strictly contemporary Christian music - very talented musicians, all of us former rock and rollers (who still get together to jam regularly outside of church). A lot of fun, and pretty lite-weight duty (we play from chord charts, band leader is pretty organized, so not a lot of goofing around at rehearsal).

Our long-time #2 bass player has decided to retire - along with his 1965 Lake Placid Blue Fender Jazz Bass :-) - hence my post here.

Wayne's heard us play, and Olie has filled in once before with us. Olie's agreed to fill in where he can, but he, Wayne and Mike have regular church gigs, so that's going to be irregular at best.

We need to find another local player who fits in with the group and can play occasionally with us. Alembic preferred, but not required :-)

Everyone I've ever met personally through this forum are some of the finest people I've ever met anywhere SO, if any of you know any one in North Dallas who wants to play with a good group occasionally and might be a good fit, I'd appreciate an introduction.

Thanks.

John
