or 'Fall' for anyone west of Ireland ;-)

After a pretty successful gig last week at PJ Molloy's in Dunfermline, we're appearing at Whistlebinkies in Edinburgh this Friday. we have the early slot from 7 till around 9.30. 2 Sets of hard rockin' covers. If you're in the area, drop by. It's free!!
As usual, I'll be playing both my Signature deluxe 5 and fretless Rogue 5. George worries about taking his pride and joy out to gigs, I believe it would be a waste not to ;-) My better half would have something to say if I didn't make full use of something that cost so much too!

Graeme

p.s. the website's been updated behind my back. take a look at www.bigtuna.co.uk and let me know what you think. (the gallery is still to be uploaded unfortunately).

Hi Graeme!
Just been talking about taking the big guy out again on most of our gigs!!
Seems that, if I can take one of my lesser models out without any hastle, then I can take the big guy out!!
Thanks for your support on this!

Just a reminder that this saturday we'll be playing at the Crooked Arm in Bride of Allan, just north of Stirling, Scene of many battles (including Bannockburn) and home of William 'FREEDOM' Wallace. Hopefully the locals won't notice the Englishman in the band ;-)
It's a pretty small bar so if anyone is planning a trip over the pond, be there early ;-)

Well, that was a fun night. After the usual quiet start, the place ended up full to bursting by the second set. There was a healthy spread of ages from 18 to 80 and everyone was having a good time. After we finished at 11.30, the crowd kept us playing encores till well after the midnight curfew. After we'd packed the cars and been paid, a big fight broke out (usual for central scotland) so we left really quickly. I missed my motorway exit and ended up driving for an extra 1/2 an hour;-( Got home just after 2am and was woken at 8am by my son needing a lift to work - can't wait till he gets his own car.

Buy him a car Graeme!!
really strange............we played just outside Helensburgh on Saturday night...........a gig well known to our club member White Cloud.
He plays there regularly.
A bit far travelled for us, but was well worth it.......loads more work!

This Friday is 'The Royal' in Coatbridge. Last time we played here was in September. The guy had just started doing band nights and no-one turned up! Hopefully the venue will have taken off by now;-)

Well, there were fewer folk at the Royal than last time ;-( doubt we'll bother going back, it's pretty disheartening playing to three drunks.
This week we'll be back in Dunfermline playing at PJ Molloy's irish bar. The band kicks off at 10pm and finishes around 1.30am. If you're in the area drop in and say hi. I'll be the one with the 2 coco bolo alembics ;-)

The rest of the month is busy for us -
11th Dec - The Dreadnought rock bar, Bathgate
18th Dec - private corporate party - dundee
19th Dec - Behind the Wall, Falkirk (hope to see george here maybe).

And to put the icing on the cake, I'm taking Mrs J to see Status Quo on the 13th ;-)

A late addition, we're playing a fundraiser in upper Largo on the 12th. Almost sounds like it should be in florida not fife ;-)

Have a happy musical year end, Graeme.
Cool bar name, better to be Behind the Wall than Up Against it!

The Dreadnought was a great gig, reasonable space, decent sound and loads of folk up dancing.

some pics...

I'm worn out after a pretty busy few days. Saw Status Quo on Sunday night - what a fantastic gig. The music may just be simple, straightahead rock and roll but they know how to keep several thousand fans dancing for nearly 2 hours. For a change, the support band was also excellent - Roy Wood and his Rock'n'Roll orchestra playing a selection of his greatest hits from The Move, ELO and Wizzard aswell as a couple of newer numbers. It's the first time I've ever seen a support band get the whole audience on their feet for a sing-along.
