I've just got back from playing with Apache Indian at the BBC Maida vale studio's. The BBC had a whole day of live music broadcasts from the venue aired on their radio stations. We played on the Bobby Friction show for the BBC Asian Network. The session was also filmed and will later be on the BBC Web site for the DJ Bobby Friction. http://www.bbc.co.uk/asiannetwork/friction/livesession.shtml I decided the occasion was suitable to take my Series I Dragon Magic Guitar on it's first public outing. The guitar sounded great through my Fender twin amp, but to really showcase the guitar sound properly it really needs music that requires more sustained notes and chords. The reggae chop sounded righteous but from my experience, that style of guitar playing doesn't, really allow the guitars full potential and richness in sound to be expressed fully. So maybe my next gig with it will provide me with a better listening opportunity. Jazzyvee |

Jazzy, If you click on the 'latest show' link on the right, the show description says it has a live session with Apache Indian and his band.... the show is 3 hrs long. Any idea where you are in the lineup? Check that- I just clicked around and recognized the sound- starts about the 1:31:00 mark (Message edited by tbrannon on October 30, 2009) |
