Are you playing in the main auditorium Jazzy? When I worked in Bournville, the company I worked for used to get free tickets for classical concerts there and I was always blown away by the acoustics. One other time, my eldest daughter took part in a 'yamaha keyboard school' recital in the next biggest room which was also a nice sounding room. I was watchng Micheal portillo on the bbc last night visiting brum and I was thinking maybe it's time I revisited the place (but it won't be this friday). Have a great gig and post some photos if you can. graeme. |

I wish it was in the big hall but alas, they have a large bar on the ground floor that they use as a jazz venue every friday. I suppose you can get a couple of hundred people in there on the three levels that overlook the stage area. Hopefully someone will bring a camera and take some decent photo's for us. thanks for the good wishes. Jazzyvee |

Here are a couple of shots from the gig. I used the Europa for most of the gig then use the Clarkee for a Stanley Clarke track we played at the end called Buenas aires. Jazzyvee |

Yep we had a great night, the PA packed up during soundcheck so we didn't have one so neither me or the drummer cound hear the keyboards for most of the gig and the keyboard player could not hear the drums at all so it was a bit ropey in places but the crowd loved it. It was so funny watching all the heads in the audience nodding in time with the music. We were laughing about it during the gig. It seems like they all knew Grovers music very well. Sounds great Jazzy! What head is that paired with the Mesa 4x10? Looks kind of like a Genz Benz head, but it's tough to tell. |

Most excellent! Nice tones! Two of my buddies in my neighbood played with Grover. Gerald Veasley, and George Howard. He helped them get out there, of course you can here George(RIP) play with Stanley "Come Take My Hand" (If this bass could only talk). And Gerald is doing very well as a solo artist. |
