So I'm in Portland, Oregon, this week for the annual NORML National Conference. Last night there was an "after party" at the World Famous Cannabis Cafe. We put together a little impromptu jam. I called up Nick, "Afrobeat Fool"' and he brought down his beautiful Essence and was even kindly enough to schlepp down a guitar rig for me to use. The line-up was drums, guitar, and two basses! Nick let loose with some sweet lead bass lines! So that ripple in the Force you may have felt last night was two Alembic instruments aligning in the Pacific Northwest! Thanks, Nick.

Morning. Wow. That was some fun. I had not been in the NORML Cafe before. Bill was tearing it up on his beauty custom Further, Woody. I got to say that, Woody, is a real beauty in person. Pictures do not do justice! We played some Santana, some SRV, and a few other tunes. The Haze burned my brain!Great fun, I hope there are some pic's. Thanks Bill for the invite. I ment to tell you to check out Guitar Crazy on 36th and Division. He's a little pricy, but has great stock.

Sounds like a great evening! Yes, would love to see pics of that! Maybe there's a bootleg board tape.
