On Friday May 7 I'll be taking my Exploiter out to a bar called Character's in Gardner, MA for a gig with a band called True Pedestrians. The band plays 90's rock covers and a few classics. I haven't been in this bar for at least 10 years since new owners took over and remodeled it. My old guitar player and I used to frequent it on Sundays in the old days when it was a blue collar dive to enjoy 50 cent draft beers and play polkas on the jukebox.... Now it's just another seedy toilet but should be fun nonetheless. John Paul | ||

Hey Dino, If you played a bar in downtown Gardner in the 80's it was probably Alan's Pub or The Pub. Same place. It was a hopping place back in the day.... we used to do 4 night stands there. It went country in the 90's and is now a classic rock type of place with patrons stuck in the 70's... They never had polkas on their jukebox!!! JP |
