Unusual having the solid body wings like that. I like the look of the maple. This bass also gives me a good idea of what some 50 year old Eastern Maple slabs I have would look like as a bass. Keith |

Looks like the white one that was for sale recently ("More for the collector than the bass player this is not the original finish") |

Flip - Good catch. I think you might be on to something. Personally I like seeing the maple rather than covering it up with paint. Keith |

I thought that when I saw it too Flip. I actually liked it in white paint too. I'm not as keen on light woods as I am with the darker woods. Now if that was in Cocobolo or madagascar ebony, my fingers would be twitching. |

I'd probably be interested if it were in the US at a US price. |

That bass speaks to me. I love its body and I am a huge fan of the crown head. But I want a series and won't settle for anything else. |

It's the one and only Edwin van Huik! Here's a thread under Artists and Their Alembic. Best to start with the archived messages first. And a more recent thread here! (Message edited by adriaan on August 29, 2014) |

Here's an EVH that I am proud to call mine. [link] Pretty sure that Mica told me that this is the only one to be offered for sale by a dealer in the United States. Excellent balance with this different body style, and very versatile with the East Meets West electronics. Edwin Van Huik is a great guy. We exchanged some messages when I told him that I picked up his signature model here in the States. I like that 5-strring. Someone here should take it home!
