Oh good grief, I hate it when these things keep coming up. That bass is gorgeous. When it went first time I breathed a sigh of relief; I really don't need the temptation, particularly when my cash is already spoken for.

Isn't this the one where the fellow checked in as a new member and said he needed to sell his bass because his home had been destroyed and situation devastated because of Hurricane Katrina?

Yes, here is a thread for his previous ebay listing. Here is the previous ebay listing where it sold for $3,751. There is no feedback related to the previous sale; he does state in the current listing that he had a problem getting paid by the buyer. It's a beautiful bass. The statement in the current listing that the electronics are "top of the line" is of course inaccurate.

Why must everyone exaggerate prices? From the listing: "A BASS LIKE THIS WOULD COST OVER $12,000.00 TO BUILD..." I don't see any LEDs mentioned and I come out around $10500 or so on the quote generator to build this without considering a monthly special. That means you should be in the $8K vicinity to order something very much like this new through a dealer.

It's a beautiful bass and a number in the $3500-4500 range would seem a very fair deal.

The crown headstock seems so out of place on the Europa to me. Nice bass though.

$8k? Is that all? IIRC I was recently quoted more than that by a well respected dealer for a near identical-to-mine Triple O with Signature electronics and maple facings. I would've thought Series electronics and Buckeye should take it way beyond that.

Shaun; this bass does not have Series electronics, it has Signature. And, depending on the model, the Buckeye upgrade is not significantly more than the Triple O upgrade. Throw in a Knobby headstock upgrade. And of course your comparison depends on which Maple.

I wasn't talking quilt BTW....
