I have a 1986 Persuader with two Jazz Activators with volume, pan and filter. Would it be possible to add another filter and two q switches? Any estimates on cost? My only concern will be layout. Any help on this dream would be appreciated.

I'm pretty sure they can get it done Shae, but I can't help you out much on what it would cost.

Click the link below and it will take you to a thread with a Rogue that has passed through several club members hands (I was one of them). It started life with Rogue/Europa guts (Pan,vol, filter), but was retrofitted at the factory to have Signature electronics.

Also- I had a custom Elan built that had P/J pickups with Signature electronics, so adding the signature package with the Jazz pickups won't be a problem.

here is a link to the Elan

I'm wondering if this should be a factory retrofit or can I do the work? I've built 5 instruments and feel confident to drill the holes, however could the mothership provide a template. Other than price my concern is the layout. I think the controls are too close together and the jack is not alligned properly. i could try a non standard layout (asymetrical) but I would appreciate more input.

The size of the control cavity would most determine the ease and feasibility of such an upgrade - could you post a picture of that with the currant wiring harness in place?

I believe they'll fit.

I spoke with Mica regading this via email. She says I'll have to replace the Volume and Pan controls to work with an additional Filter. I'll also have to have the original filter modified.

Anyone have any thoughts on having 2 volumes and 2 filters instead of 1 volume and 1 blend like in the signature set up?

I've attached my thought on the layout which should fit the control cavity.

I have to say I was very impressed with the labor rate to modify my bass, and have it revisit the factory for a fresh setup.

Shae,

The two volume, two filter setup is essentially the Anniversary setup, only the anniversary setup adds a 4 position pickup selector. Below is a link to the Anniversary electronics setup.

My personal preference is the two volume setup since that's what I am now used to; but volume/pan is a good way to go too. That's a nice top on your Persuader, and it looks to be in great shape. This is a great idea and will really expand the range of possible tones.

I am considering the standard Persuader update with a dedicated pre-amp for the bridge pickup, but this is a great idea as well. Any news or updates on it?
