I have owned this guitar for over 20 years and wanted the Club to get a real good look at a "Masterpiece"assorted photo's of Dicky and Greg ++++++dickey betts custom Alembic #7494

According to Dickey, he ordered the guitar in 73' and received it some time in 74' He played it at many venues and in the studio, but always felt closer to his 57 goldie. I' parapharasing his letter. You will notice the back of the head stock has a m.o.p. inlay of the Magic Mushroom...the bands logo even today.

As for wood and construction, I'll save that for another time. I can tell you that the front of the head stock and the top of the body are bound and inlayed in sterling silver!

Is that a truss rod adjustment cover on the head stock over the string nut ?

Toby, yes thanks . Unusual place for the truss rod adj .for an Alembic isn't it ? Like a Gibson.
