Hi,

I found these photo in my archives.
May be these were ordered by Japanese delar shop.
I saw the bass at the shop that I haunted.
It has small body and Tree of Life inlays.

Custom guitar has nice inlays at finger board just like Santana's guitar !?.

I don't know who owns it now.

The store that bought these was called Top the Line. In 1987 my mom, dad, Stanley Clarke and I visitied this shop, I think it was in Shibuya. They had a great collection of Alembics there.

Mica, what shapes are these two? Are they custom, or are there templates for these? Is the guitar the 'Scarab' I hear mentioned from time to time?

The bass is for sale at Tokyo.
It's so nice !
The price is over $5000.
But Tree of life inlay is $6000 option now.
If the bass has 5 strings ....

Wow, Eiji, that thing looks amazing! I'm going to be in Japan for a few weeks in December, but not in Tokyo - probably a good thing, I might be tempted!

By the way, the horns on the guitar you originally posted look kind of like my doubleneck...

I don't remember exact price.
But $5000 was the exchange rate at that time.
If I find it same price, the price will be over $7000 now.

By the way, I like oliginal shape of the Santana guitar.
Original has larger body with tummy and elbow contour.
