Hey guys. I know I've been away for some time, only watching and not posting, and probably most of you won't remember me. Not that there is much to remember anyways... But I'm back :-)

So, just got this new bass. Got it from Steve, who is the original owner. Great guy that helped me out with everything in every possible way that I needed. Steve, you rock.

It's a custom Series I with an Europa body shape made in 1998, but trust me, it can pass as brand new.
It has this beautiful, highly figured book matched to center Maple Burl top. Body is solid Mahogany and the neck has the classic Maple/Purple Heart recipe. No back laminate to save on weight.

Controls are not the usual Series I: Instead of Volume/Volume, it has Master Volume/Pan. No LEDs

This bass is a killer. Already took it to two gigs and can't say enough positive things about it. My new standard to which all others will be compared to. Now I just need to finish my rig so I can properly put it through my F-1X.

And, as I got it as an early Christmas gift for myself, here is the first shot of it, in the Christmas spirit! More pics to come when weather gets better.

Greg

It goes without saying this is a superb bass. The burl pattern on it is incredible and I'm sure the sound does it justice. :-)

Greg,
For the most part I'm not a big fan of burl basses, but this one knocks it out the park! The patterns on it are stunning. Beautifully liquid and enchanting.
Congratulations!

Maple Burl and abalone inlays make an awesome combination.
