Here is a very nice bass made back in 1973. It features a nice walnut top with lots of flame. It also has a oak core with a neck made of mostly purpleheart with maple laminates. Check it out!

Tracey- go to the "alembic basses and guitars" section of this board -in that folder there are 2 threads- 1) color of pickups 2) caramel pickups covers your answers (straight from Mica) await you (they cant make the caramel pickups anymore-and these are pickup covers-the pickups are casted into the epoxy itself) |

Keavin - Number 16 is the only one I have that has no filters. And I have seen others like this too. I have had the chance to play number 17, and it had no filters either. I would think that there are not too many with this set up. |

Michael, this keeps me thinking about my custom idea of a bass with Series pickups and preamps only, no filters or controls. Maybe next year! EffClef |
