Does anyone have any pictures or footage of Stanley playing his Dragon Magic that Alembic made him as a gift?

That would be well cool.

It's interesting how much meatier the alembic sounds vs the musicman bass in the clip. But if clarkee is using that rig that his roadie describes on his web site... well...who needs a FOH PA.
Thanks for the link to the clip.
I may try checking out some of stanleys flamenco style chord strumming.

FOH PA ?? rig = amplification system ?
meatier = plus de viande = no more beef ???
Sorry I don't understand, only that you can compare directly in ths clip the both sounds alembic/musicman ?
Actually I use a simple Ashdown 300 R. For later, I don't know what is best: SWR workingpro 700 (all in one, light weight, sheaper and good sound) or combination with Alembic F-1X preamp & Crown, Peavey or QSC poweramp ?

FOH PA = Front Of House Public Address system.
The FOH bit means that we're not talking about on-stage monitors or the back-line (see: Rig).

Rig = amplifier (effects) and speakers for the individual guitarist, bassist or keyboard player.

Meatier - "more flesh on the bone".

Sorry about that PierreYves,i will try not to use unclear terms next time I respond to your comments.

http://www.stanleyclarke.com/gear_pg.htm

here is a link to stanley clarkes live rig. Basically what I was hinting at was that if stanley clarke is using equipment as powerful as this, he is going to get a very big powerful sound regardless of how poweful the PA system is.
Hope that makes sense.
