AAAA quilted maple, with inlayed logo and Series II electronics. I love this bass!

Wow Donald.

nice piece of art!
Just tell me: why is it a Series I with Series II electronics? I'm still confused about this.

Paul,

Not to steal Donald's thunder, but eh, since insomnia has me lurking....

Series 1 Body: semi-hollow, 5 laminate body (Donald's is probably maple/purpleheart/mahogany/purpleheart/maple), chrome hardware standard, gold plate optional.

Series II Body: semi-hollow, 7 laminate body, side LEDs, gold plate hardware standard.

Series I Elec.: 2 volumes, 2 Q filters, 2 three-position Q switches, 1 pickup selecter.

Series II Elec.: 2 volumes plus 1 master volume, 2 Q filters, 2 continuously variable Q controls (instead of switches), 1 pickup selector.

What Donald has PROBABLY done was order the Series I body and upgraded to Series II electronics ($200). One of my basses is a Mark King Deluxe with upgrade to Series II electronics.

Well-well,
than I realize now that "Bonnie" has a Series I body with Series II electronics.
She has brass hardware ( I mean bridge etc) and gold plated Schaller tuners, no side leds.
Well, it's how I received her back in 1996.
Doesn't change for me.
Plays and sounds nice!
Thanks guys

Paul

BTW: I'll need a mover to change her from thread SII to thread SI
LOL

One more thing. When I order this bass that months special was a selection of free upgrades. I choose the AAAA maple, mother of pearl fret makers and inlayed silver/abalone logo.
