well tomorrow (7-2-03) is my baby's birthday, she will be 27 years old, she will start the day with a lemon oil neck rub and a new set of strings on saturday. I can remeber the day I brought her home, it was just like yesterday, she was concieved in Santa Rosa, and delivered in Oklahoma City on 7-2-76

If I weren't a musician( I use this term loosely), I would be very worried about that post!

All kidding aside, congrats on still having such a beautiful bass David! Sounds like you take very good car of her :-)

Paul TGO, i TRIED to make it SEXY because putting your hands on an Alembic is just about as good as SEX, and I've had that bass 3 years longer than my wife, and I'm going to keep them both

Gorgeous bass, Dave.
Happy to see another blonde. I have a short scale blonde and I think she is definitely more fun.

Thanks Andy, they do yellow with age, but they still look great. When I bought mine in 1976 I had a choice, mine or one just like yours, well I took the large body, and have wanted a short scale small body Alembic to add to my small collection.
Welcome to the club.

Hey Dave.
Thanks for the welcome. I do miss my large body short scale. It was definitely more comfortable to play but as I don't do live gigs anymore its not an issue. I just wish I hadn't sold it all those years ago.
Classic story... six basses and a new baby. Something had to give.

But man, I LOVE the look of your large body blonde.

Cheers,
Andy
