actually no, I took it from my p-bass in 1980,because the pickups are not recessed into the body, theyre just sittin on the top, held down by one screw on each side. so they would always come loose when used as a thumb rest.

I just saw that the starplock is UNDER the point versus your shoulder. Strange no??
What would be the advantage or is it something you changed Brother Keavin?

Very cool bass. I would really love to see more detail shots of it. Especially the back. Also, what exactly is the control layout? It looks like two volumes, two tones, pickup selector, and master volume. If so, then what's the other knob???

I see it has the mono/stereo switch that is useful when you are using the batteries and not the power supply. Batteries!! What size battery does this bass use? Just curious. My 1972 bass uses 8.6 volt batteries and not 9 volt. 9 volt batteries just won't fit in the cavity. I am sure the cavity could be routed out to use the 9 volts, but that ain't gonna happen.

The layout is vol, vol, for each pickup, and then master vol,(3rd nob) and then one filter for each pickup, and then one CVQ for each p/u, and the toggle is for stand by, and, or batterys(if im not using the power cable) .( basic sreiesII controls without p/u selector switch)..and notice the two little holes on the plate? those are gain adjusters , the CVQ adjusters are within the electronics cavity. and it takes two 9volts.

Well I'm only on my first cup of coffee and neither the eyes nor
the brain are fully awake yet. But the singer sure looks familiar.

Brother Keavin,

in a way that bass is sooooooo old that it looks mighty new and modern again. What -of course- pleads for the taste of the Alembicians (if it was Ron, or Susan or Rick or Prlwtskfsky ...i dont give a %^&***>#@ to be honest) it's simple timeless beauty!

Paul the bad one

PS: Dave ...no ...I don't recognize anyone ...only the bass ...oh ...yeah ...there is a kinda bassplayer too. A black brothers band ...waaaaaaaaaaaaay cool. What's the music you play???

Dave, my first thought when seeing the singer was the Neville Brothers.
