Thanks guys. Needless to say it's going to be a long day or so. Alan I actually like the looks of my Balance -K body the best. But I have another bass with this same body, which fits me like a glove, that was the inspiration for this bass. I will admit though that I like this body in Coco-Bolo better than my Spalted Maple. This is the first time I've seen the knobs on the bass too. Roger did an awesome job. OO |

Olie: As the Good Ol' Grateful Dead sang: "What a long strange trip it's been"! Once again, the folks in Santa Rosa have used the time to create an absolutely GORGEOUS work of visual and sonic art. Even this raised-in-New-York-Jew can't help but stare in open mouthed awe at this beautiful bass. What else can I say? Breath in ... breath out ... it will soon arrive. Then ENJOY! Congrats, Bill, tgo |

Thanks, Bill. You know this bass was inspired by a Jew. Loaner Mike? Sure, just say the the word, of course you'll want to use a 5 stringer, Right? OO |

Five stringer? Well if you don't mind tying a bit o' kite string around the neck I'd be okay with that. Heck, you could just put a nice ribbon and bow on it just for grins and we could call it done. We should talk. |

While I am a total heathen, I freely acknowledge that Christianity has inspired some of the most amazing architecture, art, and music ever. At the confluence of all three, you can add this to the list. Congrats, Olie - Notre Dame & St. Peter's got nothin' on you! Peter |

THE EAGLE HAS LANDED, or should that be THE DOVE HAS LANDED. EITHER she's a here and all I can say is, pictures don't do it justice. This is "simply marvelous". In my totally biased opinion, easily the best custom Alembic has ever made. OO |

So, I take it the honey-do list is going to be neglected this weekend? Congratulations, Olie. I know you've been waiting a long time for this. |

Well as for the list 1 thru 3 have been completed, number 4 is still in the process! I just had to take a break and eat something. I spoke to Mica on the phone earlier and she had said that she and her dad were very impressed with the sound of this bass. Well DITTO to that. In fact I've uncased the other 4 siblings to compare the sound differences and not a one sounds like this baby. The sustain is unending and the low end is.... well lets just say we thought we had our first quake in the DFW area. YES I can say I now have a NEW favorite axe. To the entire Alembic crew, and especially Susan and Mica a heart felt THANKYOU. OO. |

Wow. Congratulations on a wonderful instrument! With two ebony stripes in the neck the low end must be pure insanity! Awesome. :-) |
