I'm thinking about flying out the Bay Area to pick up my shorty when it's ready as an excuse to be there for a few days. Every time I come to SF, I dash in and out for gigs and have no time to hang, so I thought this might be a good opportunity to be able to relax. I'm not sure of the exact dates yet, but sometime in the week of the 17th-21st. Anyone up for a meet around that time? |

Pics? Well, you've held it in your hot little hands, so you are ahead of me in that! Certainly when it happens. Montana, huh? That's headed this way from you. Are you on the road then? Touring to CO? We could use some good afro-beat! |

If it's not too big, I can host a small gathering in my basement studio at my home. Only one bass amp, but I do have a keyboard amp and some old Fenders that might do in a pinch. Bill, tgo |

Oh, man, I wish it was an afro-beat tour. Instead it's the SRV thing. It's cool, but, you know. The leader wants a (dare I say it) Fender bass. Of course, I will play it thru my SF-2 and F2-B, and hopefully come off with a sound I like as well giving the Man what he wants. I'm trying to get there Edwin, and I hope I can get to the Telluride(sp) festival this year. |

Nick, just read your post - you should stick some Activators in a Fender! There's a set up on eBay right now in Berkeley! |

I don't have a 5 string fender. But, thanks for looking out for me. I would be interested if they were for a 4 string. I have just the Fender for them. Nick |

Actually, it's not a 5-string set - I thought the same as you, but check this thread out - Mica says they are just a regular set! |

I was hoping to, but it turns out my bass completion date has been moved back a few weeks. I don't know if I can make it work because there might not be enough notice before it's done to get a cheap flight. At the time I thought of this, tickets were only $150! So, maybe in a couple of weeks? |
