The Epic is the perfect balance of price plus performance. You'll find combined in the Epic the highest quality and a remarkably low price.

Rest assured, the Epic is not some cheap knock-off -- this is the real thing! Epics are made in our factory by the same artisans that make every Alembic. Some other companies import a generic bass and stick their name on it. When we say Alembic, we mean it.

And just because we're offering the Epic at a low price doesn't mean you lose your choices. In fact, the Epic has more options than many manufacturer's so-called "custom" basses. You have your choice of eight woods for the top. Whether you prefer the light color and bright tone of flame maple, or the warm, mellow sound of vermilion, you're sure to find the right match with the Epic. Fretless is no extra charge. Left-handed never costs extra.

These options do not increase the delivery time to you. Usually you can receive your Epic about six to eight weeks from the time you order it, regardless of wood choices or options.

We don't skimp on the quality, either. Each Epic body is carefully handcarved from mahogany with your choice of top laminates. We then attach a multi-laminated maple neck with a special "wedge" joint for matchless stability. This neck is supported by the same dual truss-rod assembly that we use on all Alembic basses.

The fingerboard on the Epic is made from ebony. We inlay aluminum for the side position markers. Every detail on the Epic is important to us.

As we have a reputation for being the best, you can be confident that the Epic won't disappoint you. The Epic may be less expensive, but it's still beyond custom
