An interesting side point - the Magnum bass was the first graphite-reinforced, wood neck in commercial production. The parent company of Ovation was Kaman Corporation which was a leading fabricator of advanced composite parts (including many helicopter blades) for the military. The cool thing (and bad thing) about youtube is that it pulls up allsorts of crazy videos that might be associated with the one you are watching. I just spent a few minutes re-living the eighties.
